Marina Sharm Hotel ★★★★
⭐ Overall rating: 7/10
Short overview
Following my holiday at Marina Sharm Hotel in January 2026, I am sharing this review, which reflects my personal experience at this hotel.
This is a small-to-mid-size property located right in the heart of Naama Bay, Sharm El Sheikh. It’s a clear hotel for young adults and for travelers who come for nightlife and a lively atmosphere - not for early nights and total quiet.
For a Sharm El Sheikh holiday, location matters: here you’re in the center of the action, and that comes with a trade-off. Nightclubs nearby play loud music and heavy bass until 2-3 AM, and with weak soundproofing it’s hard to sleep before then. That’s why it’s not recommended for families with small kids or seniors, but it can be a great fit for the right crowd.
Food — Rating 6.5/10
The main restaurant is new and clean, located near reception. For an Egypt All Inclusive hotel, the food is sufficient and generally tasty, while lunch and dinner offer good value for money.
- Daily: at least two meat options (chicken/duck and beef/lamb)
- Fish and seafood (squid, crayfish, etc.)
- A decent variety of fruit
- Many desserts - varied, tasty, and surprisingly good quality
Breakfast is the weak point: there’s no self-serve omelette station - you have to queue, and the result can be quite oily.
Lunch and dinner are noticeably better.
Hotel grounds — Rating 7/10
The grounds are clean and easy to navigate. There are several pools, and one is heated - a pleasant surprise for this price range in Sharm. You’ll find bars around the property with soft drinks and included alcohol.
- One beach bar sells hand-made natural ice cream (2-3 €) - big portions and very tasty
- There’s also a paid beach bar for premium drinks and shisha (around “200 lei in our money”)
- No aquapark
- SPA + a new gym with enough equipment for a full workout
- A large, modern lobby bar (drinks are paid)
Beach — Rating 8/10
The beach has fine sand, no stones, and very comfortable sunbeds with thick, soft mattresses. There’s a beach volleyball court that’s very popular with guests. The sea entry is very gentle and easy, and you’ll often see schools of small fish right by the shore.
Rooms — Rating 6/10 (for the old ones) and 8/10 (for the De Luxe and renovated ones)
The rooms are divided into two categories: one part consists of older rooms (with unattractive, visibly outdated corridors), located in the same building as the Reception, on the second line (but still extremely close to the beach); and another part on the first line, called Royal Marina (more expensive, the upgrade costs EUR 60 per night for a DBL room). Among these, some rooms are not renovated but offer a spectacular sea view (and have balconies), while others are completely NEW, but without a sea view — overlooking only the heated pools.
Not all rooms have a balcony (for example, my room did not). In the non-renovated rooms, the furniture is somewhat old but acceptable, and I did not notice any unpleasant smells.
The bathroom is outdated but acceptable considering the price paid. A real plus: the air conditioning is new, large, and very powerful — in summer you can turn the room into a “freezer” if you want. Housekeeping is done DAILY.
Location — Rating 8/10
Location is a major advantage: Marina Sharm Hotel sits right in the heart of Naama Bay. Step outside and you’re instantly in a vibrant tourist area packed with shops, restaurants, terraces, and nightclubs. It’s very fun and you won’t get bored - but it’s also very noisy. Recommend it carefully and always warn guests about the late-night music.
Conclusion
Verdict: For a lively Sharm El Sheikh holiday with nightlife, city vibes, and being right where things happen, Marina Sharm Hotel is a solid hotel for young adults. For families with small children or seniors - not recommended, because the night music and bass can go on until 2-3 AM.
If guests want an Egypt All Inclusive deal and specifically prefer Naama Bay, this hotel can work well - as long as they’re clearly informed about the noise level and the mixed room condition (older vs renovated).
