Hotel Baikal ★★★★
⭐ Our score: 9/10
Rooms
Clean, renovated. Everything is new and smells nice.
Restaurant
It looks cozy and has several seating areas — inside the main restaurant, around the pool, and on adjacent terraces. Everything is clean and unworn. The food is tasty and varied.
Pool & Pool Bar
The pool is decent, with sunbeds that need to be taken early in the morning, otherwise they get occupied by other guests. There is also a small slide for children.
There is a bar at the pool where all drinks are included. At 10:00 the Pool Bar opens and the animations begin.
Playground (kids)
A new playground with a good variety of facilities. It is located next to the restaurant terrace.
Mini Club (kids)
On the day we were there, the kids all made pizza together at the restaurant.
Gym
Nominally, there is a gym on the 3rd floor, but de facto it is not usable — it has a few overused, poor-quality machines that feel like they might fall on you while using them.
Parking
There is a small parking lot in front of the hotel and another one behind it. It costs 20 leva (10 euros) per night. However, there is a risk of no available spaces if you arrive late at night, as we did.
Wi-Fi (common areas)
Wi-Fi is available only on the ground floor: reception, restaurant, pool area.
Area & atmosphere
The nearby area is full of nightlife, with small shops and terraces everywhere. It is lively, with lots of young people, fun and cheerfulness.
Distance to the sea
The hotel is on the second row from the beach, and the sea is 300 meters away. We measured 6 minutes on foot to the beach.
Surroundings
Across the street is the Trakia Hotel, which we are visiting this afternoon.
